Lake Erie Fishing Report – 21 SEP 2013

Saturday, September 21st, 2013

THE RAIN IS HERE AND GONE! Once the streams get back to good flow steel season should be in full swing.  We finally got a rain that blew the creeks out.

PA fishing is going to be epic this week as steel have been staged for weeks waiting on a good rain.  OH will be a lot better this week than it has been.  Fish will be found in all the early season holes.

Flow is still way high as of this post, but anglers should be hitting the creeks on Monday, and the rivers on Wednesday.

Walleye and Perch

Fishing has been non-existant.  The lake is showing it’s fall face with a north wind everyday.  Makes it tough for smaller boats to get out.  Huron area should be hot this week if we get any steady weather.

Steelhead, walleye, and lake erie perch fishing report – 20 SEP 2013

Friday, September 20th, 2013

Walleye have been slow today…..north winds supposed to blow all weekend.  Most boaters with small rigs will be staying indoors this weekend.  However, heard report of people casting and catching walleye on the huron reefs.

Perch bite remains good all around.  The consensus is to start in 42′ if you are fishing the central basin, and 60′ if you are fishing up around Erie, PA.  You will have to keep moving if you want to produce a limit.

Steelhead have been slow in Ohio, but they are there.  PA needs rain right now, but there are plenty of fish in the creeks.  Anglers on boats are reporting good catches in front of trout run.
